My Story
Hello and welcome to Wild Child Wellness. I’m glad you are here. I’m Lizz, it’s nice to meet you.
I am a Registered Massage Therapist, a Baby-Led Sleep Specialist, yoga and meditation teacher (in training) and mental health advocate. I am also a highly sensitive empath, an introvert, a partner, a mama and an explorer. I have studied mindfulness, myofascial release, prenatal massage, and am trauma-informed.
In my past life, I worked as a journalist, which means I can be little long-winded in the words department. But it also makes me an avid researcher and critical thinker. Before that, I spent time in an early learning childcare centre while I attended a couple of years of university in the education faculty. I wanted to be a Kindergarten teacher but changed direction after my first placement. I believe all my previous roles armed me with a wealth of knowledge that led me to this exact place.
My offerings include holistic infant sleep support, movement and meditative practices and hands-on massage treatments for those living nearby. By utilizing an intuitive approach, no two sessions or treatments are alike. I take the time to understand your concerns and together we develop the framework to make changes going forward.
I am not here to give you the same prescriptive plan that I give to everyone. And I am not here to tell you what you should do. My intent is to validate your feelings, hold emotional space and support you on your wild journey.
Life is too short to be told what to do and to follow all the rules. So let’s do something rebellious together and listen to our wild child inside.
ABOUT ME
I live in a small rural community in southeastern Saskatchewan, Canada with my spouse and our little wild child Phoenix. My partner and I love to travel and we spent our 20s and early 30s exploring other countries. I often say our son came into our lives at the perfect time because world travel has not been an option the past couple of years. We love to hike, ski/snowboard and scuba dive and are eager to share these passions with our child. Our house is currently up for sale and we plan to relocate to the mountains where we can immerse ourselves in nature all year long. I enjoy gardening, reading, camping, and time spent with my little family.
I look forward to learning more about you.
